1. THE HEART

The prayer room is the heart of all we do. As we minister to God through worship and praise, spontaneous singing and adoration, God is enthroned.

Psalm 22:3 says “Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.”

King David was a man of “one thing” (Psalm 27:4). Around 1000 BC, as an outflow of his heart, he commanded that the Ark of the Covenant be brought up on the shoulders of the Levites amidst the sound of songs and musical instruments to his new capital, Jerusalem.

There he had it placed in a tent and appointed two hundred and eighty-eight prophetic singers and four thousand musicians to minister before the Lord, “to make petition, to give thanks and to praise the Lord” day and night (1 Chronicles 15:1–17:27). This was unlike anything that had been done in Israel’s history, but it was God’s plan.

Our heart is to have the same spirit of the tabernacle of David.

2. DEVOTIONAL SETS

Devotional sets are a format designed to create an atmosphere of worship that promotes personal prayer, Bible reading and study. These prayer times generally have a lower volume of music for an environment suited to contemplative prayer.

3. INTERCESSION SETS

Intercession sets are usually energetic as the room is invited to engage in corporate prayer. These prayer times have a specific prayer focus communicated by the prayer leader, and individuals in the room are welcome to pray on the microphone. There are times of “rapid-fire prayer” when, one by one, people are invited to pray short prayers on the microphone along a specific theme. There are also times of small group prayer for those who wish to participate.

4. WORSHIP WITH THE WORD SETS

Worship with the word sets are amazing moments when a passage of the Word is sung then proclaimed. Through interactive singing the singers also called “singing theologians” sing to each other with possibility to repeat what they've heard, to rephrase or to cross-reference. The prayer leader does the same and “feeds” the singers with thoughts, verses, ideas and deep truths. Eventually the team comes up with a chorus that the room is invited to proclaim. Through repetition and sharing, the revelation of the Word of God penetrates our minds and souls and transforms us into His image.

5. THURSDAY EVENING AWAKENING

As we gather for worship, prayer and preaching, Thursday evening Awakening services are amazing moments for us to get to know each other, worship in joy and proclaim God's plans over Sherbrooke and Quebec. The times of preaching are always amazing moments to be built in our inner-man, to grow and to understand and dive into deeper revelation of the knowledge and wisdom of God. All are welcome.

For my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.
